When Ian and Sarah first met 6months ago they realised they had a lot in common but had no idea, at that stage, of the powerful energy they could generate by working together. Each had successfully run workshops independently but as the conversations over coffee and the odd glass of wine progressed it became obvious that merging their NLP and Positive Thinking approaches offered a synergy they both felt excited and passionate about. The result is a new and exciting workshop: ’Living With Heart and Soul’, offering the unique combination of two highly respected coaches.

Having started out in life wanting to become a lawyer I soon realised it ‘wasn’t me’. It wasn’t that I couldn’t do it, it just took all my energy and left me feeling flat at the end of the day. I promised myself I would never follow another career that didn’t feel fun and energising. I moved into sales and marketing which I loved before taking an extended career break to have a family. 4 children and a divorce later I took a long hard look at myself and decided a complete change was called for. I wanted something I’d enjoy, that would make me leap out of bed every morning and would make me feel fulfilled at a deeper level than I’d experienced before. That’s when I discovered Life Coaching. I trained for 3years and became a member of the International Coaching Federation, coaching people from all over the world. I now not only offer one to one coaching, on the telephone or in person, but also run successful Workshops in UK and Retreats in the French Alps.
My philosophy is that life is too short to tread water, to make do, or wonder ‘what if’. I feel passionately that we all owe it to ourselves to be authentic, have fun, and feel fulfilled recognising that each individual will have their own unique vision of what that means to them. Through coaching I help you identify your own vision, turn obstacles into possibilities, and help find the clarity and purpose you need to feel excited about life again. I have my own unique style of coaching, an energy and passion for life and an emphasis on having fun. I feel amazingly privileged and excited to be working with Ian on 11th September and hope you will find time to join us.

Ian McPherson
Hello I’m Ian McPherson and I’m delighted to be working with Sarah. I spent nearly 30 years in the printing industry – and I use every bit of the stress and anxiety I created then to inform my work today. I escaped from that world of unconscious struggling after personal tragedy. Then I chose to wake up and reinvent myself.
I’ve been on a more conscious journey since about 1999 – I was doing ‘stuff’ before that but not with any real direction or awareness. I stumbled upon NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming) in 2001 and I studied up to NLP Master Practitioner level and then Trainer and Coach. I trained with many wonderful teachers both here and in the USA. I was inspired and I really embraced the NLP philosophy –and I love it! It changed my mind – literally. All those years of struggle and I never knew I could create choices, fabulous questions (bringing brilliant and amazing answers), mental resources, new perspectives, solutions and so much more. Still I firmly believe we can use everything that happens to us, good, bad and OMG. The greatest part by far is that I get the privilege of helping others on their journeys too – and that’s a great reason to get out of bed every day.
Over the last seven years I’ve run 100’s of NLP workshops and classes, coached countless people and made so many great friends (meeting Sarah is the latest wonderful example). I know that this work has changed lives. That’s the joy – so many wonderful people still to meet!
